Festival Officially Opens at 10 am
Greenhouse self guided tours begin at 10:00 am. Each station will have a knowledgeable guide that will answer questions you may have making for a delightful trip through the orchid growing grounds. See first hand thousands of gorgeous orchid blooms. Learn how these gems of the flower world are produced, grown, and shipped throughout the world. Witness the orchids in the bottle! Smell the chocolate orchids. See our newest arrival. the cousin It plant! Enjoy a peaceful the day with the flowers.!

10:05 am American Orchid Society Ribbon Judging Begins. Three certified AOS judges will be judging entries. Presented by the Riverside and San Bernardino County Orchid Society
10:30 am A free no charge class hosted by The Joshua Tree National Park Association. It will be an engaging class focused on the unique native plants of the California desert and their important role in the park’s ecosystem. Participants will learn about native desert plant species, their adaptations, and the importance of protecting these plants in a changing environment. The class will also highlight JTNPA’s support of Joshua Tree National Park’s Desert Plant Restoration Program, which helps restore and protect native plant communities throughout the park. This program offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen your understanding of the desert landscape and the conservation efforts helping preserve it for future generations.
10:40 am The Official return of the very Shari Baby Orchid Beer brewed by The Joshua Tree Brewery. . Brew Master Dario Guerra will be on hand to discuss the brew. Joshua Tree Brewery has been very generous partner to the Orchid Festival. Not a beer drinker? Wine will be available by the glass. Must be over 21 to purchase.

11:20 am Rotary's Sunset grill will be serving gourmet hamburgers and hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, as well as vegan options. Come hungry! In the Sunset Rotary Food Court.
11:30 The Phalaenopsis class begins. Learn how to care for and cultivate Phalaenopsis orchids, the world’s most popular orchid. Participants will repot a 6-inch orchid to take home
11:45 am- Aqua Fit activity center will be serving Carne Asada Nachos. Landers Association will be serving gourmet mc and cheese boats.
1:00 pm The Orchid Arrangement Class- Create and build your own orchid planter to take and enjoy at home. Your $35 fee includes two blooming orchids, foliage accent pieces and a decorative ceramic container. Growing and care instructions will be discussed for your new planter. Proceeds benefit the Riverside/ San Bernardino County Orchid Society programs. Classes held at the Banc of California Learning Center. Click here to sign up.
12:45pm The beat goes on with the Sarah Barlow Band
1:00 pm. Children's art class resumes. Children can make a paper plate venus fly trap.
2:30 pm The first ever Carnivorous Plant Class. Dive into
the fascinating world of carnivorous plants in this engaging class suitable for all ages 8 and up.
3:30 pm The Orchid Class- Cultivation and Care of Intergeneric / Exotic Orchids. You will be learning about the care and cultivation of the oncidium tribe. You will be transplanting a blooming intergenic oncidium into a six-inch pot. The orchid is for you to take home and enjoy. There is a $35.00 charge for the class. 11:00 am Adult Orchid Arrangement Class- Create and build your own orchid planter to take and enjoy at home. Your $35 fee includes not only two blooming orchids and a decorative container, but also growing and care instructions for your new planter. Proceeds benefit the Riverside/ San Bernardino education fund. Click here to sign up.
12:30 pm Mixed Orchid class. Participants choose their project at the start of class: repot two Phalaenopsis orchids together, create an orchid-and-houseplant planter, or repot an intergeneric/exotic orchid. As with the other hands-on classes, what participants create is theirs to keep. Click here to sign up.
