This year we’ve brought new ideas, and vendors to add to the excitement. You decide which of your favorite charities receives the proceeds from your purchases through the use of “Rotary Bucks” given with each sale.
New to the festival this year is the over 21 beer and wine garden. This over 21 section is located in the Sunset Rotary pavilion. Lovin' Smoke by Bruce's Place cooking up their famous barbeque.
See something beautiful; take a self guided tour of the orchid filled greenhouses* and see thousands of orchids blooming- in the desert! And don’t forget your camera.
Learn and laugh; Enjoy an orchid class and take home your own orchid or Orchid arrangement. Sponsored by Pacific Wester Band and taught by the Orchid Society of Arizona. Classes held both Saturday and Sunday. Visit the Gubler Orchids website in for class sign ups on September 1st.
Joshua Tree Brewery will be introducing a new Orchid Beer and the return of the very poplular Shari Baby Beer They will also be sharing some of there newest brews. Delight the palate: Indulge your taste buds through YV Sunset Rotary Wine tasting. Enjoy your favorite wine in a Orchid Festival commemorative wine glass.
Grab lunch or a quick bite: The Boys and Girls club will be ready with many delicious Hamburgers and Hot Dogs. Lovin' Smoke by Bruce's place will be returning this year. They are well know throughout the Morongo Basin for their tasty Ribs, Pulled Pork sandwiches, and more.
Together last year Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary, Joshua Tree Brewery and Gubler Orchids raised over $40,000.00 for desert charities. The 2021 Beneficiaries included: Armed Services YMCA, Theater 29, Boys & Girls Club of the High Desert , HELP, The Orchid Society of Arizona, Reach Out Morongo Basin, Soroptimist, Morongo Basin Humane Society, Unity Home, Morongo Basin Historical Society, Friends of Yucca Valley Library, CERT, and the Riverside San Bernardino Orchid Society.
* Nonslip, rubber soled shoes are required for all greenhouse tours.
