Reach Out Morongo Basin is getting a Van!

Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary’s fundraising goal is to purchase a low mileage mini van for Reach Out Morongo Basin. This will help further their support of the growing transportation needs to those seniors and disabled residents that Reach Out Morongo Basin serves daily. Reach Out Morongo Basin, receives referrals for seniors and disabled residents of the Morongo Basin, assisting to keep them living independently and safely in their homes. ln essence, they fill in the gaps left by traditional social services agencies. Their services include friendly visits and phone calls, family caregiver support and respite, homemaker and help with chores, and personal business assistance. They also provide transportation to doctors’ appointments, shopping, and other activities. Plus, clients are taught fall prevention and how to make necessary home modifications for their safety. All assistance is provided at no-cost.
