Mime Performers Entertain Festival Goers!
Our Rotary club's primary fundraising event has been the Morongo Basin Orchid Festival, which is now in its twelfth year. Through this event we have raised and distributed many tens of thousands of dollars to local charities and schools -- providing a positive and significant impact on our local communities.
This year the event runs for two days, Saturday and Sunday, October 6th and 7th. As is true every year, the Festival is centered around Gubler Orchids in Landers, California. The Festival offers free behind the scenes tours that are not otherwise available to the public, both free and fee-based orchid classes, many rare orchids for sale, vendors selling unique pottery and crafts, and -- of course-- live jazz (Jim Palmer & the Jazz Norwegians), great food and drink for all ages -- including the Trader Joe's wine and cheese tasting--, and fun, fun, fun!
